Electrical Service Technician - Journeyman

Walker Engineering is looking for a skilled and licensed Electrical Journeyman to join our Tenant Division in Dallas. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of your work, mentor apprentices, and be part of a respected team known for delivering quality and reliability in every job.

About the Role:
As a TG Service Technician, you’ll work closely with an Account Manager on a variety of service and maintenance projects, including installations, upgrades, remodels, and repairs. You’ll be the go-to field lead—ensuring quality, safety, and professionalism while supporting the next generation of electricians.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Perform electrical service work including installation, modification, and repair of systems and equipment
• Supervise and mentor a crew of apprentices, providing hands-on guidance and ensuring code compliance
• Maintain accurate and timely service documentation
• Communicate clearly with clients, conduct job walk-throughs, and ensure customer satisfaction
• Collaborate with Account Managers to monitor job costs and support small field estimates
• Operate and maintain a service vehicle (routine maintenance, inspections, inventory tracking)
• Participate in the after-hours/on-call work rotation as needed
• Adhere to company safety policies and maintain a clean driving record

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Valid Texas Journeyman Electrician License (or Master Electrician License)
• Current Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• 5+ years of hands-on commercial electrical experience, preferably in service or remodel work
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong mechanical aptitude, math skills, and working knowledge of electrical theory
• Professional communication skills and customer-focused approach
• Must be able to pass a company drug screen and physical assessment
• Willingness to work occasional overtime and take part in the on-call schedule
• Professional appearance and adherence to uniform standards (company-issued shirts, approved pants, and work boots required)
