Program Manager
Position Summary
The Program Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional teams to successfully deliver product development programs from concept through launch. This role ensures all projects meet customer requirements, financial targets, and timeline commitments while aligning with organizational goals and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Project Management
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of product development programs from award through launch
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules using standardized development processes
- Provide direction, structure, and communication cadence for cross-functional teams
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Lead global, cross-functional teams including engineering, supply chain, finance, and operations
- Drive alignment between internal teams and external customers
- Communicate program status, risks, and progress to leadership and stakeholders
Customer & OEM Engagement
- Act as a primary interface for OEM customers
- Navigate customer-specific processes, systems, and expectations
- Ensure timely communication and strong relationship management
Financial & Commercial Support
- Support RFQ (Request for Quote) processes, including cost estimating and program inputs
- Own program financial performance, including budgets and lifecycle cost management
- Coordinate capital, tooling, and resource planning
Engineering & Change Management
- Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Process Change Requests (PCR)
- Ensure changes are properly evaluated, communicated, and executed across teams
- Support product and process development with strong technical awareness
Supply Chain & Risk Management
- Perform supply chain mapping and assess resiliency across the program lifecycle
- Identify risks, gaps, and potential disruptions early
- Develop and implement mitigation strategies
Technical Oversight
- Maintain working knowledge of electronics and PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly)
- Understand SMT (Surface Mount Technology) processes and component-level impacts
- Partner with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and execution
Program Close & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure successful program launch and closure activities
- Capture lessons learned to support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, or related field (required)
- Master's degree preferred
Experience:
- 3-7+ years of program or project management experience in product development
- Experience managing programs from award through launch
- Background supporting automotive or electronics-related programs preferred
- Experience working with OEMs

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $70.00/hr.
