Job DescriptionThe electrical project engineer will support a team in implementing electrical systems for large-scale industrial construction projects, including mission‑critical work. Responsibilities include project safety, quality, budget, schedule, job controls, vendor management, submittals, and procedures.Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage project engineering and related personnel functions and activities, including planning procurement, design review, project controls, work assignments, etc.Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall construction schedule.Prepare documents to obtain quotes from vendors for material, equipment, and other specialty items.Track material deliveries.Interface with departments, divisions, and internal staff on issues related to budgeting, staffing, discipline of employees, training, development, scheduling and other activities involving discretion and judgment.Review engineering plans and vendor submittals.Monitor crew assignments to ensure productivity goals are met.Conduct field walks and spot checks of work being performed.Ensure compliance with county, state and OSHA policies and regulations.Required Skills2+ years of experience as a construction Project Engineer.Degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management.Skills and AbilitiesAbility to understand, interpret and consistently apply safety laws and company policies/standards.Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.Ability to build trust and achieve results with clients and company team members.Read drawings, interpret work specifications and scopes.Demonstrate solid attention to detail and problem solving ability.Strong work ethic to complete tasks as part of a high‑quality team.BenefitsMcGraw Kokosing offers competitive compensation and benefits including medical, dental, vision, company‑paid life, and disability insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with match, and incentives for safety commitment.McGraw Kokosing is an equal employment opportunity employer.
