• Inspect motors, bearings, couplings, seals, and other rotating equipment
• Use electrical meters and diagnostic tools to identify equipment failures
• Read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and blueprints
• Complete work orders and accurately document maintenance activities in the CMMS
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, modifications, and improvement projects
• Participate in root cause analysis for recurring equipment failures
• Maintain tools, parts, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition
• Follow OSHA, food safety, sanitation, and plant safety procedures
• Work closely with Production, Quality, and other maintenance team members

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED required
• At least two years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
• Experience maintaining industrial pumps and electric motors
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, motor controls, and control panels
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment independently and determine the cause of failures
• Working knowledge of preventive maintenance practices
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a food manufacturing or regulated production environment
• Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift equipment as required
• Willingness to work either 2nd or 3rd shift

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Electrical troubleshooting
• Three-phase motors and motor controls
• Variable frequency drives, or VFDs
• Programmable logic controllers, or PLCs
• Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Pumps, valves, seals, bearings, and rotating equipment
• Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, or CMMS
• Food, beverage, dairy, ingredient, chemical, or process manufacturing
• Technical certificate or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, mechatronics, or a related field

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, mechanically inclined, and able to troubleshoot equipment without constant supervision. Electrical experience is a plus, but strong mechanical ability, initiative, and independent problem-solving skills are the highest priorities.

Relevant job titles may include:

Industrial Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, Multi-Craft Technician, Electromechanical Technician, Plant Maintenance Technician, Process Maintenance Technician, Millwright, Industrial Electrician, or Facilities Maintenance Technician.
