Plans wiring and installation of equipment and fixtures. Inspects wiring and fixtures for conformance to company and/or customer specifications. Studies build schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties. Interprets customer specifications, OSHA, and Ontario Hydro requirements. Recommends measures to improve build methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. Maintains time and build records. Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials. Confers with other leaders to coordinate activities of individual departments.
Follows up on Hit lists, Material, & Percentage complete. Supports Debug. Interfaces between Design, Purchasing, Follow-up & Manufacturing. Attends Meetings. Marks up Layouts and collects Cable Length. Sets up guidelines for preliminary wiring done on our floor (power feed, jumpers, etc.)
Makes sure that the necessary power is available (power drops, bus capacity, transformers for different voltages, etc.) Makes sure that changes are marked up in the drawing set and conveyed back to the controls design. Understands and follows safety & environmental regulations and identifies safety/environmental concerns. Adheres to the Quality System and participates in continuous improvement.

Associate degree from a college or university; or at minimum 10 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
