Job Details:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Foreman to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial to our construction operations, as you will be responsible for overseeing, planning, and executing electrical installations and repairs on various construction projects. You will be the go-to person for anything related to electrical systems, ensuring that our projects are not only safe but also adhere to electrical codes and standards. This is a permanent role that offers great career progression opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of electricians and apprentices in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
  • Plan and schedule projects, estimate time and materials, supervise subordinates, maintain records and files and prepare reports.
  • Maintain current electrician's license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.
  • Oversee and ensure the proper completion of all electrical installations, including but not limited to, wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Provide technical guidance regarding the installation of electrical systems including 3 phase electrical system, EV Charging, and other complex systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, regulations, and codes.
  • Troubleshoot system problems and resolve electrical issues.
  • Work closely with project management for scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Conduct inspections and ensure the quality of workmanship for all electrical projects.

Qualifications:

  • Must have at least 5 years of experience as an Electrical Foreman or in a similar role in the construction industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, electrical safety, and electrical codes and regulations.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical problems.
  • Experience with 3 phase electrical systems and EV Charging installations.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team.
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
  • Must hold a valid electrician’s license.
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and drawings.
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to prioritize and plan effectively.
  • Knowledge of construction, design, and cost management.
  • Must be physically fit and capable of lifting heavy equipment and tools.
  • Ability to work in various weather and environmental conditions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in electrical engineering or related fields is a plus.
