Participates in the conceptual development of a construction project and overseeits organization,schedulingand implementation. Budget management isa must.Key ResponsibilitiesMust have an active Electrical Journeyman licenseValues safety over and above all other considerationsWork with superintendents, foremen and Construction Managers to plan, organize and direct activities concerned with all construction projectsEstablish project objectives, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specificationsConfer with supervisors, foremen and Construction Managers to discuss such matters as work procedures, complaints and construction problemsInitiate and maintain liaison with owners and other contacts to facilitate project activitiesMonitor and control project through administrative direction of on-site foreman to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budgetInvestigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measuresRepresent company in project meetings and attend strategy meetingsWork with Program Manager/VPGM to manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the customerMay requisition supplies, materials and sub-contractorsto complete projectInterpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, etc.Formulate reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs and schedulingAssign workers to construction sites to work on specified projectsOther duties as assignedPhysical DemandsMust be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift20 pounds; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes regularlyMust be willing to travel out of market/state, for up to several weeks at a time (50-70%)Must pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing and participate in random testing programMay be required to work long and unpredictable hoursPosition requires working indoors and outdoors in all types of weatherMust possess valid driver's license and are required to drive company vehiclesMinimum QualificationsMust have an active Electrical Journeyman licenseProven working experience in tower construction managementAdvanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods and the ability to manage and work within a budgetExpert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standardsUnderstanding of all facets of the tower construction processFamiliarity with construction management software packageAbility to plan and see the “Big Picture”Competent in conflict and crisis managementLeadership and human resources management skillsExcellent time and projectmanagement skill/experienceSoft SkillsCommunicate in person, by phone with all site personnelAbility to read, comprehend and carry out instructionsMust be able to work with a team, and independently as requiredMust be able to lead a construction crew to complete projectsSupervisory RequirementsThis position will directly supervise the Construction Manager or crews if Construction Manager is not presentPosition Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position with a typical workschedule of Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with overtime requirements.TravelTravel is required for this position.
