Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent role within our construction company, offering you the chance to be a key player in our ongoing growth and success. The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for our electrical projects, including material, labor, and equipment costs. You will be an integral part of our team, working closely with project managers, engineers, and other professionals to ensure our projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

1. Preparing detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects, including material, labor, and equipment costs.
2. Reviewing blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work and required contents of the estimate.
3. Participating in project bidding, preparing bids, and submitting proposals to clients.
4. Applying your expertise in cost management and cost analysis to ensure projects are financially viable and profitable.
5. Conducting value engineering, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs without compromising quality.
6. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other professionals to ensure accurate estimates and successful project execution.
7. Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in electrical construction estimating.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of electrical construction estimating experience
  • Commercial electrical estimating background required
  • Experience reading plans/specifications and performing quantity takeoffs
  • Proficiency with Accubid strongly preferred
  • Experience with Excel, Bluebeam, and construction estimating software
  • Electrical contractor background preferred
