We are currently seeking a motivated and innovative Electrical Engineering Technician Intern to join our team in St. Paul, MN. Responsibilities:
- Read, interpret and follow engineering drawings, diagrams, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble product.
- Wiring harness assembly, mount electrical components, and finish wire in junction box per schematic. Mount junction box and route cable assemblies on finish product.
- Perform soldering, crimping, wiring, layout, and mounting of components per drawing or specification.
- Perform work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards. Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified. Rework and/or repair assembled equipment.
Qualifications:
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Must be currently enrolled in an Engineering or Drafting program at an accredited college or university
Preferred Knowledge / Ability:
- Knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for assembly and diagnostic purposes.
- Ability to read blue prints and technical specifications.
- Perform a high degree of precision work – wiring, soldering, crimping.
- Proficient with basic hand tools.
- Self-starter ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Strong communication, organizational, time management, and basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem, produce a new concept and or idea.
