Job DescriptionAV provides a full suite of space‑qualified hardware trusted to fly in the most extreme environments across GEO, MEO, LEO and Cislunar orbits. Our customers depend on AV when a mission can't fail. We are seeking electrical engineers at all levels to join a dynamic team working to put Great Systems on Orbit, enabling leading‑edge tasks in laser communications, space electronics and sensors.ResponsibilitiesDesign custom high‑speed digital electronics using ADCs, DACs, FPGAs, processors and communications drivers.Design and conduct analysis of analog circuits, including low‑noise signal conditioning and power amplifiers.Provide expertise to product development and R&D efforts.Collaborate with peers, leads and managers to develop, review and refine designs and analyses to meet program technical needs within defined time and budget constraints.Work within a broad‑disciplined program team providing expertise in support of electronics manufacturing and test.Required QualificationsB.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. 0–2 years of professional experience.Experience in design, analysis, integration, and test of custom electronics.Proficiency with electrical design software and simulation tools (Altium, SPICE, MATLAB, Simulink, HyperLynx and MS Office).Ability to conduct circuit analysis and simulation to optimize performance and reliability.Desired QualificationsUnderstanding of space qualification standards and requirements.Experience designing custom electronics for space products.Experience designing to a defined requirement.Experience with analysis necessary for high‑reliability space electronics hardware (electrical stress analysis, worst‑case circuit analysis, reliability analysis).Experience producing PCB layouts and understanding of PCB manufacturing and assembly processes.Understanding of relevant IPC standards needed for electrical design and fabrication.Experience developing and conducting testing of complex electronic sub‑assemblies along with design of special test equipment.Experience deriving sub‑assembly requirements from system requirements and defining test methodologies.Experience developing design & verification documentation (ICD, DDD, Test Plan, Test Procedures, Test Reports).Strong written and verbal communication skills to present designs to internal and external stakeholders.Ability to complete assigned work within defined timeline and budget.Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.Physical DemandsWork in an office and manufacturing environment (constant). Sit and stand for long periods; use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (frequent).Salary RangeUS$70,000 ‑ 120,000 per year, depending on level, responsibility, location and experience.ITAR RequirementThis position requires access to information subject to ITAR and/or EAR. Applicants will provide documentation to verify U.S. person status. 120.15.
