Key responsibilities include:Design DED machine electrical systems utilizing AC and DC electronicsAssemble and test prototypes to ensure functional design and manufacturing goals are achievedCreate documentation such as electrical schematics, Bills of Material (BOMs), Work Instructions, and other documentation to support downstream manufacturing processesPerform I/O and baseline functional electrical testing to support the manufacturing processDesign PCBs for functional components and manufacturing testbedsUse Solidworks to layout components and generate Bills of Material (BOMs)Follow revision control, design publication, technical documentation, and part numbering processesProvide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to address manufacturing issuesAdhere to UL, CE and other electrical standards and support NRTL certification processes as neededSuggest and implement engineering changes per Engineering Change Request (ECR) processParticipate in design reviews to ensure technical and Design for Manufacturing (DfM) goals are achievedCommunicate status on projects to Electrical‑Integration‑Test team leadInterface with vendors to receive new component technical information, prices, and availabilityQualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field of study5+ years experience designing electrical systems for machine tools and/or industrial machinery5+ years experience field wiring and troubleshooting electrical circuits5+ years experience using SolidWorks Electrical or similar schematics design softwareExperience interfacing with suppliers including electronics vendors and PCB manufacturersExperience technical writing of work instructions, manuals, and other technical documentationExperience applying electrical and other relevant standards AC and DC electronicsAbility to work in a demanding, fast‑paced environmentAbility to communicate efficiently and effectively with teammates, vendors and customersProficient user of Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, and Outlook (email)Proficient user of Windows PCsPrevious experience in advanced manufacturing technologiesAbility to handle ITAR and CUI information and data to support government programsBenefitsCompetitive salary and benefits packageOpportunity to work on cutting‑edge manufacturing technologiesCollaborative and innovative work environmentProfessional development and growth opportunitiesFormAlloy is an equal opportunity employer.
