This role is focused on driving equipment improvements, upgrading control systems, and improving overall process reliability through hands-on engineering and project execution.

Job Details

What you will do

Lead electrical engineering projects from initial concept through design, installation, commissioning, and closeout
Develop project scope, specifications, and support vendor selection and bid processes
Partner with production, maintenance, and technical teams to solve equipment and process issues
Analyze process and equipment data to identify inefficiencies and drive improvements
Design and implement control system upgrades, including PLC, HMI, and automation improvements
Support troubleshooting of production equipment and provide technical solutions to recurring issues
Work on automation and inspection systems to improve process consistency and data visibility
Install and support monitoring systems on production equipment
Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on projects and technical development
Support off-shift work as needed during project execution


What you bring

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
At least 1 year of experience in electrical engineering (internship experience counts)
Strong communication skills with ability to work across production, maintenance, and engineering teams
Proficiency with basic engineering and project tools


Nice to have

Experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment
Hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, drives, motors, and automation systems
Familiarity with industrial data systems and process monitoring tools
Experience designing, installing, or maintaining electromechanical systems
Exposure to leading or supporting capital projects
Experience with common industrial control platforms
