Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay range$120,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yrRole OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in power distribution, switchgear, and industrial electrical systems to join a rapidly growing manufacturing organization. This role is application-focused and hands‑on, centered on designing, supporting, and delivering custom electrical power distribution solutions for industrial and mission‑critical customers.This is not a theoretical, research, or software‑focused engineering role. Engineers in this position are deeply involved in customer collaboration, practical design, manufacturing support, and troubleshooting, with regular time spent on the manufacturing floor.The position exists due to sustained business growth and increased customer demand that has outpaced current engineering capacity.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign custom and scalable electrical power distribution systems, including switchgear and power distribution centersTranslate customer requirements into safe, reliable, and manufacturable electrical designsDevelop electrical schematics, one‑line diagrams, and detailed drawings using AutoCADSupport product standardization efforts while maintaining flexibility for customer‑specific needsPower Distribution & Medium Voltage SystemsDesign and support low‑ and medium‑voltage electrical systems, typically up to approximately 35kVApply best practices related to:Power reliability and redundancyGenerator transfer systemsMedium‑voltage switchgear and distribution equipmentContribute technical expertise for mission‑critical applications such as data centers and heavy industrial environmentsManufacturing & Shop Floor SupportSpend regular time on the manufacturing floor (typically up to ~2 hours per day as needed) to:Support fabrication, assembly, and testingTroubleshoot electrical issuesCollaborate with manufacturing and quality teamsEnsure designs are practical, manufacturable, and aligned with production capabilitiesParticipate in factory acceptance testing (FAT) and commissioning activities as requiredCustomer & Cross‑Functional CollaborationWork directly with customers, sales, and project teams to clarify technical requirementsProvide technical guidance throughout the lifecycle of a project—from concept through deliverySupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reliability, and delivery timelinesRequired QualificationsExperienceTypically 5–15 years of electrical engineering experience (flexible based on skill set)Strong background in one or more of the following:SwitchgearElectrical systems for data centers, oil & gas, utilities, or heavy industrial applicationsExperience in application engineering or manufacturing‑support environments is strongly preferredTechnical SkillsProficiency in AutoCAD for electrical design and documentationExperience with medium‑voltage systems (up to ~35kV) is highly valuedFamiliarity with:Generator transfer systemsElectrical redundancy and reliability conceptsExperience with synchronous (sync) transfer systems is a strong differentiator but not requiredEducationBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is common, but not requiredOpen to candidates with:Electrical Engineering TechnologyMechatronicsEquivalent hands‑on industry experiencePractical experience is valued over academic pedigreeWork Environment & ExpectationsPrimarily on‑site role within a manufacturing environmentEngineers are expected to be comfortable working outside of a desk settingClose collaboration with manufacturing, operations, and leadershipFast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment with direct visibility into how engineering decisions impact delivery and revenueSeniority levelMid‑Senior levelEmployment typeFull‑timeJob functionManufacturing and ConstructionReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at BY Recruiting by 2x#J-18808-Ljbffr
