We focus on sustainability, client success and partnerships that matter to our communities and our environment.ResponsibilitiesDesign medium‑ and high‑voltage power distribution and management systems for renewable energy projects such as solar, wind, BESS, EV charging, and microgrids.Design traditional transmission and distribution systems, both underground and overhead.Prepare specifications, calculations, drawings, and full construction packages for electrical systems ranging from 15 kV up to 200 kV, including three‑line diagrams, substation layouts, grounding design, protection studies, and sag/tension analyses.Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews to ensure compliance with corporate, national, and client standards.Provide technical support to field personnel for medium‑ and high‑voltage collection systems, substations, and transmission equipment up to 200 kV.Perform electrical studies including short‑circuit, arc flash, load flow, power factor, relay coordination, capacity analysis, reliability analysis, and ampacity calculations.Troubleshoot electrical equipment issues within supported renewable energy facilities.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with colleagues across multiple offices.Conduct due diligence, feasibility, conceptual design studies, and inverter‑based resource interconnection studies; prepare utility master plan reports.Participate in project management tasks: client meetings, system design coordination, equipment selection, technical specification development, shop drawing review, and construction administration.Mentor engineering and design personnel within the Power Market team.Travel occasionally for client meetings, field reviews, and project assignments; be flexible to work extended hours when project deadlines require.Perform other duties as assigned by market principals and project managers.QualificationsProficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and/or PLS‑CADD.Experience using power analysis software such as EasyPower, ETAP, or SKM Power Tools.Familiarity with voltage drop, fault current, and arc flash analysis tools (EDR, EasyPower, ETAP, SKM).Knowledge of CDGES software; experience with GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) and Synergi is a plus.Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to engineers, clients, and stakeholders.Strong time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize, handle conflicting deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.Strong relationship‑building skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Ability to meet all pre‑employment requirements, including background checks, drug screening, and MVR review as applicable.Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or the ability to obtain licensure within six months.Minimum of 5 years of consulting experience focused on medium‑ and high‑voltage power system design.Demonstrated experience preparing electrical construction drawings, specifications, submittal reviews, and providing construction administration for power projects.Preferred but not required: graduate degree, professional registrations, technical research, or publication experience.Salary Range: $95,000–$160,000, based on experienceBenefitsCompetitive compensationPerformance bonuses401(k) with matching contributionEmployee Stock Ownership PlanComprehensive health & well‑being plansFinancial wellness plansWork‑life balance programsCultureMonthly educational webinarsLeadership trainingLunch & learn development sessions24/7 access to thousands of skill‑building coursesMentorship opportunitiesAward‑winning internship programEmployee recognitionAnd so much more!AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EEO - EMPLOYERWe do not accept unsolicited resumes from recruiters or agencies/staffing firms.
