The candidate will report directly into the Electrical Engineering Team Lead and be responsible for...

  • Designing and developing marine electrical power systems, including generation and distribution networks
  • Creating schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation for electrical systems
  • Performing system analysis, load calculations, and power distribution studies
  • Collaborating with mechanical, controls, and field engineering teams on integrated system designs
  • Supporting installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of onboard systems
  • Ensuring compliance with marine, safety, and regulatory standards (ABS, IEEE, NEC, etc.)
  • Evaluating and selecting electrical components and vendors for system integration
  • Assisting with testing, validation, and performance optimization of electrical systems

Profile

The ideal candidate will have...

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in marine, power systems, or industrial electrical design
  • Experience with power distribution, generators, switchgear, and control systems
  • Proficiency with electrical design tools (AutoCAD Electrical or similar)
  • Knowledge of marine or offshore standards preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work onsite or in field environments as needed
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT is a plus
