The ideal candidate possesses excellent interpersonal skills, can work well independently and with a team, and is eager to learn.Job FunctionsLearn and implement electrical system basics such as power, power distribution, lighting & controls, and fire alarm systems for new construction and renovation projects while supporting the engineering team.Produce detailed layouts and equipment details of electrical systems of buildings.Create one‑line diagrams and schematics.Assist the design team in assembling organized sets of drawings.Assist in data collection and/or field verification.Work with designers and engineers to develop all aspects of a project.RequirementsPursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or architectural engineering, preferably a sophomore or junior.Strong interest in Building Systems Electrical Engineering.AutoCAD and Revit experience preferred.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.Ability to work independently and in a team.Need to work full time in the Columbus office throughout the co‑op term.Ability to travel locally for job site inspections and field work.No immigration sponsorship available for this position.BenefitsTime Off Benefits: Paid sick leave.
