Description
Our client is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join their established engineering team in Chattanooga, TN. In this role, you’ll provide electrical design support on facility and infrastructure projects, take ownership of small to moderate projects, mentor entry-level team members, and grow toward increasing design leadership.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead electrical design efforts for small to moderate projects under general supervision.
Develop conceptual and detailed electrical designs for facilities and infrastructure based on project scope, design criteria, and applicable codes/standards.
Review and incorporate design criteria, codes, and standards into design deliverables.
Produce and coordinate deliverables including specifications, calculations, studies, reports, and shop drawing reviews.
Support construction administration, including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and preparing progress observation/verification documentation.
Help gather field data to support design development and deliverable accuracy.
Coordinate with other disciplines (architectural, structural, civil, and MEP teams) to complete assignments.
Attend client meetings to discuss facility and infrastructure electrical needs.
What You Must Have
Professional Engineer (PE) License in Electrical Engineering required
BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited school required
5–10 years of experience in building design for:
power systems
lighting systems
fire alarm systems
secondary electrical systems
Demonstrated experience working on multi-discipline design teams and coordinating with other trades/designers.
