Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Sr Scala Developer:
- Work within an agile team to develop client-facing REST APIs that provide data for IPTV
- Enhance and develop new microservices, as well as improve existing ones
- Design and implement scalable, dependable systems as needed
- Collaborate with internal customers, technical, and architecture teams to solve complex software problems
- Mentor and coach junior team members
Required Skills for Sr Scala Developer:
- Strong development experience with Scala
- Understanding of MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Istio, Argo or other containerization technologies
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Datadog, Splunk
- Experience using AWS managed services and CI/CD automation (Jenkins, Gitlab)
- Ability to multitask and quickly pivot to changing priorities and tight deadlines
- Strong experience working with DevOps engineers to build and deploy infrastructure with cloud deployment technologies
- Strong Understanding of Scrum/Agile development methodologies
