Senior Electrical Design & Test Engineer

Work Schedule: 9/80

Location: Onsite

Education: Bachelor's degree in STEM required

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Design & Test Engineer to support the design, analysis, troubleshooting, and integration of complex electrical and mixed‑signal systems. The role involves hands‑on hardware development, test equipment usage, cross‑disciplinary collaboration, and support for engineering team leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)

  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant engineering experience (or 5+ years with an advanced degree)

  • Experience with electrical engineering design, including troubleshooting, analysis, and testing

  • Hands‑on proficiency with electrical design tools such as:

  • Altium Designer

  • DxDesigner

  • Mentor Capital

  • Creo Schematic

  • Experience using test equipment such as:

  • Oscilloscopes

  • Digital Multimeters (DMMs)

  • Network Analyzers

  • Power Meters

  • Experience performing schematic capture and interpreting electrical schematics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in STEM (ABET accreditation preferred but not required)
  • Experience providing technical leadership within multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Experience in analog, digital, and/or RF design
  • Experience designing, testing, and integrating digital, mixed‑signal, or electrical interconnect systems
  • Familiarity with IDEs and debugging tools for software troubleshooting
  • Ability to self‑manage workload and meet deadlines independently
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration experience
  • Strong technical writing and formal presentation skills
  • Ability to lead single‑ or multi‑discipline engineering teams
  • Project management experience
  • Experience supporting bids and proposals (BOEs, SOWs, etc.)
  • Knowledge of computer architecture and hardware optimization techniques
  • Experience developing or utilizing programming languages for hardware testing or automation
  • Ability to adapt existing designs to support new Units Under Test (UUTs)
  • Strong troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis capabilities
