Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer, Design (Level D) to provide technical leadership and engineering support for critical projects at Sequoyah Nuclear Plant. This role serves as a working technical lead responsible for overseeing engineering activities, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring successful project execution while maintaining high standards of engineering excellence.

The selected candidate will lead electrical engineering design efforts, provide technical guidance to engineers and technical staff, and support the planning, development, and implementation of complex engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

  • Lead and coordinate the work of multidisciplinary engineers, specialists, technicians, and contractor personnel.

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for assigned engineering work activities.

  • Assign and monitor work activities to ensure quality, efficiency, and adherence to project schedules.

  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to engineering staff.

Project Management & Coordination

  • Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct the technical execution of large-scale engineering projects or multiple smaller projects with complex technical requirements.

  • Monitor project progress and ensure completion within established timelines and quality standards.

  • Identify, evaluate, and resolve technical challenges and engineering design issues.

  • Communicate project status, risks, and technical concerns to engineering management.

Engineering Design & Analysis

  • Apply advanced electrical engineering principles, practices, and methodologies to complex design assignments.

  • Independently evaluate engineering problems and develop practical technical solutions.

  • Perform engineering calculations, analyses, and design reviews.

  • Review and approve engineering documents, specifications, drawings, and technical reports.

  • Execute senior-level engineering assignments while maintaining leadership responsibilities.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Represent the engineering team in meetings involving project planning, scheduling, technical coordination, and issue resolution.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, contractors, and project teams to support successful project outcomes.

  • Present technical information and recommendations to management and project stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.

  • Significant experience in electrical engineering design, analysis, and project execution.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering efforts.

  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, standards, and best practices.

  • Experience managing multiple priorities and complex engineering projects.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting power generation, utility, or nuclear industry projects.

  • Previous technical lead or supervisory experience.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

  • Familiarity with applicable industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
