Are you a seasoned Electrical Engineer looking to own technical delivery across a premier portfolio of North American data center projects?We are partnering with a leading global real estate investment manager and developer to find a Senior Electrical Engineer to spearhead the design management, technical direction, and delivery of critical infrastructure systems. Reporting directly to the Regional Director, you will act as the design delivery lead–collaborating closely with internal development teams, external consultants, and hyperscale or co‑location customers from site due diligence through to final commissioning.This is a high-visibility, technical leadership role where you will actively shape the evolving Basis of Design (BOD) for next-generation, high-density data center builds.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign Leadership: Act as the technical lead for electrical services, managing external consultants and contractors from initial concept design through to construction documentation.Client & RFP Support: Partner with the development team to handle complex RFPs, RFIs, and bespoke technical requests from hyperscale customer engineering teams.Risk & Quality Assurance: Conduct deep‑drive design reviews of general contractor submissions to catch non‑conformances, mitigate project risk, and review protection/grading studies.Commercial & Procurement Strategy: Scope, tender, and engage engineering consultancy services. Collaborate with preferred vendors to procure high‑quality, cost‑effective equipment within budget constraints.Lifecycle Optimization: Contribute to the feasibility stage via technical due diligence for site selection, and undertake post‑delivery reviews to optimize energy efficiency and operational performance.Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to internal Project Managers and project administrators.What We Are Looking ForEducation: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical or building services design and construction, with a heavy focus on data center infrastructure.Credentials: A licensed professional engineer (PE) or licensed electrical contractor (passed State of California test) is highly preferred.Technical Depth: Deep proficiency in Data Center Basis of Design (BOD), hyperscale/co‑location operator requirements, and deciphering electrical protection and grading studies.Project Management Skills: Proven track record managing cross‑functional teams, coordinating multiple consultant groups, and navigating complex contractual/negotiation environments.Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of construction methodologies, estimating, cost‑pricing, and cost report processes.Desired Skills and ExperienceElectrical Design / Electrical EngineeringPower DistributionBasis of Design (BOD)Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) & Generator SystemsETAPSubstation DesignCommissioningAutoCADEnergy EfficiencyData CentersMission Critical FacilitiesDesign ManagementContract NegotiationConstruction ManagementFeasibility Studies#J-18808-Ljbffr
