Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Job Description

The Electrical Engineer will define, architect, design, implement, and integrate mixed-signal and analog circuits for high-reliability electronic systems. This role focuses on developing low-noise analog circuits and quiet power supplies that support advanced imaging sensors used in critical space-based applications.

Responsibilities

  • Define and develop the overall architecture for mixed-signal and analog circuits in high-reliability electronic systems.
  • Design, implement, and integrate low-noise analog circuits to support imaging payloads and sensors.
  • Develop quiet, stable power supplies optimized for imaging sensors and other sensitive electronics.
  • Create and review schematic capture and PCB designs using Altium, Cadence Allegro, or similar electronic design tools.
  • Support high-speed product development, ensuring signal integrity and robust performance in demanding environments.
  • Debug and troubleshoot analog and mixed-signal hardware, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Contribute to the design and development of space flight hardware, focusing on reliability and performance in space environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align circuit designs with system-level requirements for missile warning, tracking, and defense sensors.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to improve circuit performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to circuit design, implementation, and integration activities.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
  • 10+ years of experience in analog circuit design.
  • Strong expertise in mixed-signal and analog design for high-reliability electronics.
  • Proficiency with Altium, Cadence Allegro, or similar electronic design automation tools.
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB design workflows.
  • Background in high-speed product development and high-speed circuit design.
  • Demonstrated ability to debug and troubleshoot complex analog and mixed-signal circuits.
  • Experience working with or designing space flight hardware (preferred).
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance, including meeting all eligibility requirements.
  • Knowledge of low-noise design techniques for analog circuits and power supplies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience supporting or leading the architecture of imaging payloads and sensor systems.
  • Familiarity with design considerations for missile warning, tracking, and defense sensor payloads.
  • Understanding of high-reliability design practices for space-based or mission-critical electronics.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Work Environment

This role operates in a professional engineering environment focused on advanced imaging payloads and sensor systems for space-based applications. The Electrical Engineer will support and often lead the architecture of imaging payloads that contribute to missile warning, tracking, and defense capabilities. Work involves the use of modern electronic design tools such as Altium and Cadence Allegro, collaboration with other engineers on complex mixed-signal and analog designs, and participation in programs that develop high-reliability space flight hardware. The environment emphasizes technical excellence, innovation, and mission-focused solutions, with opportunities to contribute to systems that support secure communications, positioning, navigation, timing, and tactical data transport.
