Named a 2019 and 2022 Top Places to Work, we believe in building it better, focusing on complex opportunities, and taking the electrical design to the next level, with licenses in over forty states and projects across the nation.Position:Electrical EngineerLocation:Indianapolis, Indiana or Denver, ColoradoPlease note: This is not a remote position.Day‑to‑day Tasks:Perform the design to meet NEC and all applicable national and local codes. The design deliverable includes lighting and power layout plans, one‑line schematic drawings, and panel schedules.Perform wiring/cable sizing, equipment sizing and all required calculations to support design.Coordinate and lead the project electrical design team.Interact with clients, vendors, contractors, architects, utilities, other trades, and fellow electrical engineers to design “for permit” and “for construction” electrical packages.Manage design information and coordinate with the project manager to obtain required information and document information received.Review the designs prepared by the CAD designer for compliance with the code, the contract scope of work, project specifications, company drafting standards, practices, policies, and stop‑gate procedures.Align project budgets and schedules while coordinating multidisciplinary groups (such as HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, architecture, civil, structure, etc.).Work with designers and field installation experts to develop installation details that meet project needs.Review project submittals and technical documents.Qualifications:Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering.PE license preferred.5+ years of experience in electrical power distribution and lighting system design for industrial, commercial, and residential projects.Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution, lighting system design, NEC code, and IEEE standards.Highly motivated team player with a strong work ethic.Good communication and problem‑solving skills.Ability to work independently, collaborate with the electrical design/estimation team, other trades, and follow directives from the team lead.Familiarity with SKM or similar power system study software, AutoCAD, Revit, and lighting design software (Agi32 is a plus).Nice to have: Experience in electrical consulting and design of any industry (commercial, pharma, power generation, K‑12, industrial, healthcare, etc.)Benefits:Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance fully paid by the company for employees.Paid vacation and holidays.401(k) company match.30‑day paid sabbatical every five years of employment.Stable employment with a growing company.Highly competitive salary.Working/Environment/Physical Demands:This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
