Oxford Solutions has a direct hire opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to support our client’s Winding Engineering Process team. This position focuses on researching, designing, developing, testing, and analyzing electromechanical components, equipment, and systems. The role involves close collaboration with the Electrical Engineering group, Project Management, and shop personnel to improve processes, ensure quality, and drive efficiency.

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Support and optimize the Winding Engineering Process for electromechanical systems and components
  • Research, plan, and design improvements to manufacturing and electrical processes
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, project management, and production teams to ensure technical accuracy and manufacturability
  • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and analysis of electrical systems and components
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance performance, reliability, and production quality
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with applicable standards and procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Coursework in Electrical Power Engineering, Power Electronics, or Electrical Machines preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in design or manufacturing environments
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance
  • Understanding of electrical systems and design principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and support change initiatives
  • Willingness to travel  up to 15% per year, based on project needs
