Electrical Engineer

This regional role involves leading engineering operations primarily across Virginia, with projects extending to South Carolina and Georgia. Ideal candidates may reside in the vicinity of Abington, Princeton, or Bluefield, VA. You will spearhead technological initiatives, including SCADA (Ignition) development, provision of electrical support for plant operations, installation and troubleshooting of equipment. Key responsibilities include interacting with Plant Process Screens (KPVs), PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs, requiring a hands-on approach to collaborate with maintenance teams on-site.

**Qualifications:**
- A 2-4 year degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an industrial electric engineering role.
- Expertise or certification in Ignition by Inductive Automation is essential.
- Competency in Allen-Bradley programming is required.

**Experience & Skills:**
- Skilled in developing Ignition systems, including interface design and advanced scripting.
- Proficiency in Level 2 programming languages such as SQL, ODATA, and Python.
- Familiarity with PLCs, Operator Interfaces, and Variable Frequency Drives.
- Experience in Allen-Bradley/Rockwell programming is highly desirable.
- Proficient in AUTOCAD Electrical for control system design.
- Understanding of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems as they relate to automation is beneficial.
- Advantageous to have experience in automation or robotics.
