Responsibilities:
- Produce power single line drawings, substation plan, and elevation drawings.
- Develop general substation arrangement and layout, equipment erection drawings, and construction details.
- Create layouts for high voltage bus, cable, high voltage equipment, conduit, cable, and wiring.
- Design auxiliary power, grounding, and control building layouts.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Transmission & Distribution substation engineering for electric utilities and renewable energy power plants.
- Experience as an Electrical Project Engineer in substation type applications, including primary (outdoor) physical substation design and required studies.
- In-depth experience applying High Voltage substation North American standards & guidelines (IEEE & ANSI standards and codes such as the NEC and the NESC), local Grid Codes, and related equipment (safety, application, sizing, and integration).
- Experience with both AIS/GIS.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college (BSEE preferred).
- Professional Engineering license in the Company States or a plan to obtain PE license within a certain period, with willingness to review and seal your work and the work of others under your supervision.
