ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Designing controls systems for custom machines utilizing EPLAN, AutoCAD Electric or Electrical, including Pneumatic and Hydraulic designs
  • Navigate customer specifications to ensure machine designs meet customer standards (ex GM GCCH, Ford GVOSS, etc.)
  • Ability to think conceptually, work in parallel with mechanical designs in development
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering to develop assembly, process control and quality workmanship procedures
  • Effective communication between program managers and controls engineers to keep flow of project maintained
  • Keeping updated on the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years industry experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with EPLAN
  • Ability to make changes quickly and work in a team environment
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to size electrical systems proficiently, familiarity with UL508A
  • Familiarity with NFPA 79, ANSI B11, and other common Auto Industry standards
