We are seeking an Electrical Designer to join a growing engineering team in Hampton, GA. This role focuses on creating electrical control drawing packages for high-voltage switchgear and power switching devices. You’ll collaborate closely with sales, manufacturing, and quality teams while driving projects from design through customer delivery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality wiring diagrams and schematic drawing sets for control, motor, and heater circuits

  • Apply ANSI, IEEE, ASTM, CSA, and other industry standards to all design work

  • Troubleshoot wiring and installation issues, issuing documentation for engineering changes

  • Coordinate with sales, vendors, and customers to ensure order fulfillment

  • Support occasional site visits for startup, integration, or training needs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering OR 5+ years of CAD drafting experience

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD (AutoCAD Electrical preferred)

  • Solid understanding of electrical control and protection systems

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Compensation & Details

  • Pay: $62,000+ annually (DOE)

  • Location: Hampton, GA (30228)

  • Schedule: M–F, 8–5 (some flexibility)

  • Overtime: Occasional, paid at 1.5x

  • Travel: Rare, project-related
