    Description

    This position can be based in Atlanta, Charlotte, Indianapolis or South Bend. Must be bilingual English-Spanish.SCOPE OF WORKThe Craft Instructor assesses learning needs, designs and develops curriculum content and plans, and delivers curriculum through the most effective methodologies. All efforts are directed to delivering the best education through research and implementation of effective teaching methods that build and enhance employee skills and competence. The Craft Instructor partners with apprenticeship instructors and staff assigned to assure delivery of craft content meets learner and organizational needs.POSITION REQUIREMENTS

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Leads assessment of craft education and employee development needs for operationsFacilitates the craft assessment and uses this information to design individual training needsFacilitates continual educational development activities that supports Gaylor career pathwaysWorks collaboratively with operational leadership to plan and facilitate craft education delivery and the craft assessment programDesigns, develops, and delivers skills driven curriculum that meets participant needs and Gaylor's objectivesPlans and coordinates content delivery, administration, and logisticsEvaluates effectiveness of craft education and apprenticeship programmingContinuously reviews existing educational practices and programs, especially as it relates to engagement and curriculum effectivenessCoaches skilled craft employees who function as trainers on effective implementation of developed curriculumResearch internal and external best practices and assists with recommendations for continuous improvements in education-related programs

    Identifies areas for improvement and provides recommendations

    EDUCATION

    High school diploma or equivalencyApprenticeship completion or relevant craft electrician certification

    EXPERIENCE

    Previous experience with training and/or education in the construction industryHigh level of electrical construction skills and experience
