Job Purpose
The Electrical Compliance Coordinator reports directly to the National Electrical Safety Manager. The role acts as the central point of control to coordinate, monitor, and execute the electrical contractor Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Testing & Inspection (T&I), and remedial programmes across all client locations, including a specific focus on Petrol Stations.
The role ensures strict adherence to electrical regulations, contract specifications, and the FM operating model. By managing contractor relationships, processing remedial actions from observation to final close-out, and ensuring audit-ready paperwork, this role supports a robust culture of safety and compliance.
Key Accountabilities
Contractor & PPM / T&I Management
- Programme Control: Act as the central point of contact for the contractor PPM and T&I programmes, ensuring all statutory and contract maintenance is delivered within agreed timescales.
- Relationship Management: Develop and maintain key working relationships with external contractors, internal departments, and regional operations managers to promote engagement and compliance.
- Documentation & Quality Assurance: Facilitate the timely submission of accurate certification and documentation from contractors following site visits. Review submitted data to ensure evidence is complete, accurate, and filed correctly.
- Specialised Scheduling: Coordinate the scheduling of MST annual audits, ensuring compliance inspections by the EQS team take place within the yearly cycle. Support the coordination, booking, and maintenance of the PAT testing schedule with operational teams.
Remedial Action & Workflow Management
- Action Initiation & Tracking: Ensure all remedial actions, including EICR remedials, identified during inspections are raised promptly to mitigate contract risk, collaborating with EQS teams for technical oversight.
- Quote & Process Flow Management: Proactively chase quotes from contractors and collaborate with Regional Operations Managers to ensure efficient processing, monitoring end-to-end reactive workflows to avoid delays in safety-critical repairs.
- Close-out Verification: Collate completion data and documented evidence from contractors and City teams to verify and close out outstanding observations and aged tasks.
- Asset Calibration: Maintain accurate tracking of electrical test equipment calibrations and issue proactive notifications to operational teams when equipment approaches expiry.
Reporting, Meetings & Audit Support
- Performance Reporting: Conduct analytical assessments to collate, extract, and produce weekly, monthly, and annual compliance performance reports for operational, subcontractor, and client management teams.
- Client & Progress Meetings: Contribute to monthly compliance meetings with Operational Managers and Clients by preparing and presenting updates on compliance metrics, overdue PPMs, certification status, and outstanding remedials.
- Audit Readiness: Support the National Electrical Safety Manager by ensuring all documentation is comprehensive, organised, and readily available for internal, external, or group audits.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify trends in non-conformance, highlight best practices, and drive improvements in reporting processes to enhance clarity and operational efficiency.

General Education
5 GCSEs / Standard Grades (or equivalent), including Mathematics, English, and Science.
A-Levels or equivalent academic credentials.
Professional / Vocational
Operational experience in a compliance, facilities management, or engineering environment.
Formal engineering qualifications, or specific customer contract knowledge. NEBOSH certificate.
Systems & Software
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills for data extraction, collation, and analysis.
Experience using CAFM databases or inspection software
Core Competencies & Demonstrated Behaviours
Proven planning skills with a high level of attention to detail; ability to prioritise workloads, work under pressure, and act on own initiative. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in liaising between external contractors and internal senior management.
