Electrical Assembly Technician

LINK Staffing is hiring an experienced Electrical Assembly Technician for an established manufacturer in Sugar Land, TX. This is a Temp-to-Hire role with a clear path to permanent placement for the right candidate. You'll work 1st shift building, wiring, and testing industrial control panels and power-system assemblies from engineering drawings hands-on, build-it-right work where craftsmanship and accuracy matter.

What You'll Do
- Assemble, configure, and integrate electrical and electronic systems, including control panels, PLCs, and power components
- Install, terminate, and test low-voltage wiring and electrical connections
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Follow standardized work instructions to deliver consistent quality
- Perform functional testing and inspections to verify system performance
- Identify and report defects, malfunctions, or discrepancies in materials or assembly
- Keep your work area, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and safe
- Track production quantities, time, and productivity accurately
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete final integration
- Support continuous improvement around safety, quality, and efficiency
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, electrical assembly, or a related skilled-trade field
- Strong working knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems and basic troubleshooting
- Comfort using voltmeters, hand tools, and basic power tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Solid understanding of quality control and inspection processes
- Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Able to stand and walk 8+ hours per day with frequent bending, kneeling, and overhead reaching
- Lift up to 30 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs
- Manual dexterity for handling tools, components, and small assemblies
- Close vision, color recognition, and focus adjustment for detailed work
- PPE required: safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear
