What We Are Looking For
- The "IT" Mindset: You understand that simply entering key cards into a database isn't technical. You have a strong grasp of TCP/IP, network switches, port forwarding, and system architecture.
- Hands-On Security Experience: Proven commercial field experience installing, wiring, and programming access control panels, alarm systems, and IP video surveillance systems.
- Technical Problem Solving: Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostics. You know how to trace a fault, read a schematic, and verify power and current.
- Logistics: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Must be able to pass a standard background check and drug screen.
- Bonus Points: CompTIA A+, Network+, or manufacturer-specific platform certifications are a huge plus.
What You Will Do
- System Programming & Integration: Wire, mount, and program access control devices and main circuit panels. Connect devices to corporate IT networks, configure IP routing, and establish secure subnets.
- Access Control Configuration: Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot modern IP-based access systems, specifically working with cloud-based access networks, advanced card readers, and enterprise platforms.
- Video Surveillance Management: Install, configure, and maintain high-end enterprise camera networks and video management software (VMS).
- Low-Voltage Relay Logic: Execute advanced low-voltage wiring, wire Wiegand/OSDP devices into access control panels, and program door strike/maglock relay logic.
- Network Troubleshooting: Log into devices via web interfaces, assign static IP addresses, configure subnets, and diagnose complex network communication failures.

We are seeking a highly analytical Electronic Security Integrator & Programmer to join our growing team in Syracuse. We are looking for a true technical specialist, not a basic hardware installer.
This position bridges the gap between a hands-on technician and an IT networking professional. We need someone who understands the logic, software, and routing that brings physical security hardware to life. If you know how to wire a peripheral device to a main circuit board, program relay logic, and configure IP networks to bring enterprise assets online, this role is built for you.
