About the Role

As an eLearning Team Leader, you will take ownership of designated programme areas, ensuring the effective delivery and continuous improvement of our digital learning support services.

You will lead a small team of eLearning Coordinators, oversee learner-facing systems and processes, and work closely with colleagues across programme delivery, data, IT, and transformation teams to deliver an exceptional learning experience.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Ownership and Delivery

  • Lead and manage allocated programme areas, ensuring e-learning support is effective, consistent, and scalable.
  • Oversee second-line support activity, resolving complex issues and escalating where appropriate.
  • Ensure learning platforms and participant-facing systems, including Canvas, e-portfolios, CRM systems, diagnostic tools, and Bud, accurately reflect programme requirements and learner access.
  • Coordinate the setup and maintenance of digital learning environments and resources.
  • Provide guidance, quality assurance, and task prioritisation for eLearning Coordinators.
  • Monitor operational risks, capacity concerns, and systemic issues, escalating to the eLearning Manager as required.
  • Maintain and improve standard operating procedures to ensure efficiency and consistency.

Digital Learning and Learner Support

  • Coordinate digital skills support for learners across allocated programmes.
  • Organise and support the delivery of group and one-to-one digital skills sessions.
  • Maintain learning resources, session plans, and guidance materials.
  • Monitor learner feedback and identify trends impacting engagement and progression.
  • Ensure all support activities align with safeguarding, accessibility, and professional standards.

Systems, Processes and Continuous Improvement

  • Design, review, and improve processes that underpin e-learning delivery.
  • Develop an understanding of data flows across systems to support accurate reporting and informed decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system use, reduce risk, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Data and Transformation teams to support process improvements, user testing, and successful implementation of new solutions.
  • Promote a "build once, benefit all" approach to continuous improvement.

Leadership and Collaboration

  • Build strong relationships with Programme Managers, tutors, facilitators, IT, data, compliance, and support teams.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for process improvement requests and system issues.
