The Operations Manager is an administrative position responsible for supporting daily administrative, operational, and program functions. This role ensures the efficient coordination and execution of school programs, staff processes, and office operations within a Christian preschool environment. The Operations Manager reports directly to the Superintendent and serves as a key liaison between staff, administration, and the office manager.

Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support
- Maintain schedules, prepare meeting agendas, and manage correspondence to support efficient program operations.
- Serve as a liaison between the Office Manager and Preschool Director.
- Support general administrative needs to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Program Coordination
- Assist with onboarding new hires, enrollment processes, and program planning and execution.
- Support the coordination of workshops, training sessions, and program events.
- Assist with marketing efforts and program promotion as needed.
Program Operations
- Assist with staff payroll tracking, scheduling, attendance records, PTO requests, and staff recognition programs.
- Support interview coordination and reference check processes.
- Assist in monitoring program implementation and operational follow-through.
Behavioral & Student Support
- Assist the Director in addressing behavioral concerns related to students.
- Support documentation and communication regarding student behavior as directed.
Staff Coordination
- Assist the Director in responding to staff questions, concerns, and operational needs.
- Help develop and maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for daily operations and events.
- Facilitate effective communication between staff, administration, and office personnel.
Financial Support
- Assist with budget tracking, invoice processing, and resource allocation.
- Support tuition collection processes and accounts receivable tracking as needed.
Communication
- Support the Director in internal and external communications, including emails, letters, GroupMe, and other communication platforms.
- Communicate with external vendors and service providers regarding maintenance, repairs, cleaning, and facility-related projects.
Operational Support
- Coordinate logistics for meetings, events, and internal/external activities.
- Ensure all scheduled activities are properly organized and executed in collaboration with relevant staff.
Additional Duties
- Support school-wide initiatives and community events.
- Attend required faculty meetings and professional development sessions.
- Attend and support occasional evening and weekend events, such as open houses and other school-sponsored activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the ELC Director.
Qualifications
- Strong commitment to the mission and philosophy of Christian education.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate degree considered, preferably in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Experience in early childhood education or school administration strongly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- High level of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.
- Demonstrated leadership ability to build teams, foster collaboration, and cultivate a Christ-centered school culture.
