PURPOSE OF JOB: Provide high-quality interpretation and translation to enhance effective communication between KCPS and English Learner (EL) students and their families. Support EL students and their families to connect to school and community resources via phone, written communication, home visits, and parent meetings. Assist in planning and facilitating parent engagement activities to promote academic success.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Oral and written fluency in English and in Spanish.
60 college hours or approximately 2 years of applicable work experience. This may include any work experience in PreK-12 education, interpreting and translating, community services and engagement, or other parent/ family services.
Exceptional interpersonal and intercultural communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and in a group.
Basic computer and internet navigation skills including familiarity with Outlook, Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
Must have reliable transportation to travel between schools, students' homes and community agencies.

12 months (7.5 hours/day/ 5 days/week)
