Job Title: EHS Training ManagerDepartment: SafetyReports To: EHS Training DirectorEmployment Status: Full-TimePrimary Location: Jacksonville, FLCompensation: $90,000-$110,000We will determine salary based on skills and experience in relation to the function of the role, as well as equity to any other employees in the same or similar role.Your New JobThe PositionCongruex is looking for an EHS Training Manager who can plan and conduct job site safety inspections to identify hazards in the workplace per OSHA rules and regulations. The Safety Inspector/Trainer must have construction job site experience and knowledge of commonly used tools and machinery. The Safety Inspector/Trainer will travel within a broad territory, conducting inspections and documenting any potential issues. During these visits, you may also lead training seminars and review procedures with our employees. This role is essential to compliance with federal and state safety regulations and to the health and efficiency of our workforce. This position focuses on all aspects of environmental, health, and safety including DOT compliance issues for the fleet of vehicles.Job Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to)Conduct daily safety job site auditsOversee worker safety and work qualityMonitor tools and equipment condition and use (e.g., fire extinguishers, ladders, power tools). Ensure foremen enforce the company Code of Safe Practices and IIPPConduct investigations of all injuries and accidents; analyze work‑related hazards to determine root cause and target procedural, instructional, or equipment changes to prevent recurrenceMaintain all safety related files, documentation, and reports, including training records, accident documentation, and safety inspection reportsConduct and/or manage all training relevant to safety issues including OSHA required courses, First Aid/CPR, new hire safety training, fire extinguisher certification, forklift certification, DOT training, and any other safety related courses and classesReview safety proceduresIssue PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as neededEnsure compliance with all health and safety regulationsRespond to incidents outside of normal work hours or perform training on Saturdays as neededPerform other duties as assignedRequired Skills & QualificationsAssociate degree in Occupational Safety, Construction, or a related field and three years experience in safety training or safety investigation or a closely related area3-5 years experience in construction safety – Telecommunications Construction preferredCurrent OSHA Construction 10‑hour or 30‑hour certification, a plusValid driver's license and clean driving recordBilingual (English and Spanish)Knowledge of State and Federal safety regulations and standardsKnowledge of applicable policies, procedures, and standards and regulations pertaining to specific duties and responsibilities of each jobGood Microsoft Office skillsGood organizational and planning skillsGood math skillsAbility to stay current with changes in policy, methods, equipment needs, and departmental operationsAbility to assemble information and compile reports and documentsAbility to interpret and apply regulations and proceduresAbility to use audio/visual aids in presentationsAbility to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of employeesAbility to establish and maintain working relationships with employees, management, consultants, and government entitiesPhysical Demands and Working EnvironmentWork is performed in both an indoor and outdoor environmentMay be required to walk on uneven terrain, work in trenches, and climb laddersMay be exposed to heavy machinery and extreme weather conditionsIncumbent must have the mobility to visit job sites regularly; visits to job sites include exposure to dust, extreme hot and cold temperatures, noise, and inclement weather in a construction zone environment with occasional exposure to hazardous conditionsPhysical demands consist of frequent standing, climbing, walking, lifting, bending, or stoopingMay be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 poundsIncumbent must be able to see and hear in the normal range with or without correction and communicate both verbally and in written form comfortablyIncumbent must have the stamina to work long hours and overtime if assigned, and must be willing to work an irregular schedule, attend evening meetings after a full day if necessaryAll requirements are subject to possible modification to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilitiesThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position.
