| Job Description: | Job Description This is a contracted, full-time, on-site role based in Paris, KY. What we are looking for: Education: Bachelor's degree (or in progress) in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
Experience: 0-2 years of experience in EHS Core Skills & Competencies- Demonstrates decision-making skills to evaluate EHS risks
- Ability to identify hazards, perform risk assessments, and collaborate to support corrective actions
- Basic knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Organizational skills with the ability to coordinate tasks and prioritize projects.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and grow in EHS profession
Preferred Qualifications- First Aid/CPR/ AED Certification
- OSHA 30 Hour - General Industry
Key Responsibilities: Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management- Assist with compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
- Coordinate comprehensive risk assessments with a focus on engaging employees while identifying and mitigating process hazards and repetitive risks.
- Assist with development of site risk register and drive corrective actions through root cause analysis and prioritization
- Support audits, inspections, and incident investigations with a focus on systemic risk reduction
- Demonstrate initiative and accountability in managing assigned EHS tasks
Training & Culture Building- Deliver targeted training programs on risk awareness, PSM, and JHA best practices
- Partner to lead site-wide safety campaigns and employee engagement efforts to foster a proactive safety culture
- Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to recommend process improvements
Environmental Stewardship- Support environmental compliance activities for air, wastewater, waste management, groundwater, and stormwater programs, SPCC, CERCLA, and community right-to-know requirements.
Emergency Preparedness- Coordinate emergency response planning and support alignment with internal teams to ensure effective preparedness and response capabilities
- Support post-incident analysis to identify root causes and drive continuous improvement efforts
Cross-Functional Collaboration- Support contractor safety programs and ensure alignment with site protocols
