EHS Specialist

For Health and Safety support 

WHAT MAKES YOU A FIT: 

The Technical Part:

• Bachelor’s Degree and or an equivalent of five (5) years of experience in Industrial and Construction projects within the regulated industry. 
• Bilingual (Spanish and English). 
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills. 
• Shift: First (Monday-Friday) & according to business needs. 
• 30hrs. OSHA Certification (General Industry or Construction)
• Experience in:
  • Construction Projects within the regulated industry
  • Daily Permit 
  • Reporting 
  • JHA, Rigging Plan
  • Toolbox meetings

AS A PIECE OF FITS, YOU WILL:(The day-to-day on the job)

• Inspects the site to ensure it is a hazard-free environment.
• Conducts toolbox meetings.
• Is part of the project safety council and leads all efforts to enhance safety.
• Reviews and approves all subcontractors’ safety plans.
• Verifies that injury logs and reports are completed and submitted to related government agencies.
• Promotes safe practices at the job site.
• Enforces safety guidelines.
• Conducts job hazard analysis.
• Establishes safety standards and policies as needed.
• Monitor the safety of all workers and works to protect them from entering hazardous situations.
• Responds to any safety concerns.
• Serves as the link between state and local agencies and contractors.
• Arranges for OSHA-mandated testing and/or evaluations of the workplace by external agencies/consultants.
• Supports EHS project-related documentation.
