EHS Manager

Job descriptionA well-established chemical distributor is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager. The successful candidate will oversee all environmental, health, and safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulations. Responsibilities include training staff, conducting audits, and managing EHS projects.ResponsibilitiesLead all site‑level EHS compliance and regulatory initiativesManage environmental programs including hazardous waste, air, water, SPCC, and SWPPPConduct and lead safety training, on‑boarding, and monthly safety meetingsRun daily, bi‑weekly, and formal audits, ensuring corrective actions are completedDrive incident investigations and root cause analysisMaintain regulatory reporting systems and compliance documentationPartner with operations and engineering on safe execution of plant projectsSupport and participate in internal/external audits and regulatory inspectionsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Environmental, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field5+ years of EHS experience in the chemical industryExperience working within chemical manufacturing processesBackground in audits, CAPA programs, and compliance systemsStrong communication skills with ability to work across operations, leadership, and external agenciesComfortable managing confidential information and regulatory requirementsPhysically able to perform plant‑related duties (walking, lifting, inspections, etc.)#J-18808-Ljbffr
