We believe every building we create, and every part of that building, positively contributes to communities where people live, work and play.Job DescriptionThe Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager leads site compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations while promoting a strong safety culture. This role partners with site leadership to drive EHS performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and support continuous improvement.The position reports directly to the Plant Manager. It also has a dotted-line relationship to corporate EHS leadership and may support enterprise-wide initiatives and assist other locations as needed, including occasional travel.Lead EHS programs and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, L&I)Partner with site leadership to implement and sustain safe work practicesOversee incident reporting and investigations; drive root cause analysis and corrective actionsDevelop and deliver EHS training to maintain compliance and build capabilityConduct inspections and audits; identify risks and ensure timely resolutionManage compliance calendars, regulatory reporting, and agency interactionsLead emergency response programs, including planning, training, and drillsTrack, analyze, and report EHS metrics; drive corrective actions and continuous improvementManage environmental compliance activities, including permitting, reporting, and monitoring (air, water, waste)Ensure effective systems for SDS management, industrial hygiene, and environmental testingSupport sustainability initiatives and corporate EHS systems (e.g., Origami)Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, Engineering, HR, Risk) on projects, inspections, and injury managementReview capital projects, process changes, and facility modifications for EHS risksPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree in EHS or related field required, or equivalent experience; Master's preferred5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing, including regulatory interaction2+ years of leadership experienceStrong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, L&I and environmental regulations (air, water, waste)Experience with audits, incident investigations, and compliance programsProfessional certifications (e.g., ASP, CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferredStrong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to influence, collaborate, and manage multiple prioritiesProficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS systemsAbility to work independently and manage budgetsLeadership CompetenciesCornerstone Building Brands (CBB) Values and Behaviors & Mindsets – Act consistently with CBB's Values (Safety, Integrity, & Inclusion) and Behaviors & Mindsets (Customer-Centricity, Interconnectedness, Continuous Improvement).Anticipation – Proactively identify and solve issues before they become problems.Collaboration – Highly collaborative team player. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
