EHS Manager

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive EHS Manager to join our team in Greensburg, IN. As the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and compliant workplace for all employees. Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead training programs for employees on EHS practices, emergency response, and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the facility.
• Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and manage all EHS-related documentation and reporting.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, ensuring thorough documentation and implementation of preventive measures.
• Prepare for, attend, and implement corrective actions on internal and external audits. Internal: management audits, environmental inspections, and weekly plant walk throughs. External: HCC audits, ISO 14001/45001 audits, IOSHA/IDEM inspections, Cornerstone assessments, etc.
• Stay current with industry trends and changes in regulations to ensure ongoing compliance and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards, including OSHA and EPA guidelines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence employees at all levels.
• Proven ability to conduct training sessions and present information effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or OSHA Outreach Instructor are a plus.

• 5 Why (Root Cause Analysis Method)
• Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
• OSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10)
