    Position OverviewShaw Industries is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to serve as the Training & Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager. This combined role will lead both the development and execution of training systems and the oversight of plant-level EHS compliance and culture. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader who can drive performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and build a culture of continuous improvement and safety.Job TitleEHS ManagerKey ResponsibilitiesTraining & DevelopmentCollaborate with plant leadership to create and execute a comprehensive training strategy aligned with facility goals.Conduct needs analysis and define training requirements in partnership with department leaders.Coordinate new hire onboarding, job-specific training, leadership development, and changes in policies or technology.Partner with internal and external trainers, Shaw Learning Academy, and divisional resources for program implementation.Monitor training performance metrics and report on progress toward monthly goals.Coach training team members to enhance facilitation skills and drive engagement.Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)Develop and manage plant-specific EHS programs in accordance with Shaw Management System (SMS), OSHA, and SAFE guidelines.Lead EHS audits and ensure all corrective actions are documented and completed.Promote a safety-first culture that encourages associate involvement and continuous improvement.Coordinate and deliver EHS-related training; serve as a liaison with Risk Management and DEHS teams.Lead incident investigations, maintain accurate reporting in Cority, and oversee CAPA follow-up.Serve as site administrator for SDS systems, chemical approval processes, and security protocols.Supervise EHS Technicians and manage facility security measures.Core CompetenciesBuild Trusting RelationshipsDeliver Compelling CommunicationDemonstrate Good JudgmentDrive ResultsCoach and SupportPlan and OrganizeInfluence OthersInnovateQualificationsBachelor's degree required (four-year degree preferred for EHS scope)3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment1+ years of team management experienceProficient in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Cority, and WorkdayStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to work various shifts and weekends as neededTravel to other facilities as necessaryPreferredTraining program development experienceEHS or safety certification(s)Experience in adult learning or instructional designShaw Benefits IncludeMedical, dental, vision insuranceLife insurance and disability coverageTuition reimbursementEmployee assistance programHealth savings accountPaid Time OffParental Leave401K and Retirement PlansProduct discounts for employeesAdoption assistanceShaw Family Health Center (Dalton, GA, and Cartersville, GA, locations)And much more.Work Shift: 8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM.Shaw Industries is an equal opportunity employer as to all protected groups, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities.#J-18808-Ljbffr
