The Emergency Services Manager will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Micron’s Emergency Services and Environmental programs for the New York site. This role partners cross-functionally with Facilities, Construction, Engineering, and EHS to ensure seamless integration of emergency response, environmental compliance, and risk mitigation into all phases of project execution.

This leader will drive a proactive safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and build a high-performing Emergency Response Team capable of managing medical, fire, hazmat, and complex industrial incidents.

Key Responsibilities

Emergency Services Leadership & Program Development

  • Lead the establishment and ongoing management of the New York Emergency Response Team (ERT), ensuring readiness for medical, fire, hazmat, and rescue incidents
  • Develop and implement emergency response programs, procedures, and training aligned to industry and Micron standards
  • Serve as a key leader during incidents, supporting Incident Command System (ICS) structure and coordination with internal and external responders
  • Build responder capability through training programs, drills, and continuous improvement initiatives

Cross-Functional Integration

  • Integrate emergency services and environmental requirements into project planning and execution
  • Partner with Facilities, Construction, Engineering, and Project Management teams to align on risks and requirements
  • Support hazard assessments, emergency planning, and operational readiness reviews

Risk Management & Program Oversight

  • Identify and mitigate environmental, safety, and operational risks tied to permitting, construction, and site operations
  • Lead development and implementation of environmental and emergency management systems (including ISO 14001-45001)
  • Establish performance metrics and ensure continuous program improvement

External Partnerships & Coordination

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with local fire departments, EMS, and emergency management agencies
  • Coordinate joint training, planning activities, and response alignment
  • Represent Micron in community and regulatory engagement related to emergency preparedness

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$100,000.00 - $174,000.00 a year

Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
