EHS Associate Manager

ResponsibilitiesMajor Task Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:Implement, execute, ensure compliance with the Pepsi - North American Beverages EHS policies and procedures, and all federal, state, and local OSHA/EPA/DOT regulations (i.e. Lockout, Haz Com, Machine Safety, SARA, RCRA, etc.)Manage local EHS budgetLead the development and implementation of the EHS Annual Operating Plans and EHS Action Plans for the locationAchieve annual target rates for Lost Time, Recordable, Severity, and EnvironmentalEnsure compliance with applicable federal and state occupational safety and environmental regulationsDevelop, implement, execute, and manage strategies to prevent workplace injuries, environmental incidentsDemonstrate solid employee relations experience, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skillsDisplay strong problem solving, organizational and analytical skillsDemonstrate professional maturity and ability to act as a change leader by influencing all levels of the organization to drive continuous improvement in safety performanceConduct EHS activities such as training/auditing/assessing to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory agency requirements, Zero Zone Management System standards, Emergency Response and internal PepsiCo EHS proceduresPerform risk assessments and assist in the implementation of effective physical and/or behavioral control measures. Recognize and verify the effectiveness of in-place control measuresIdentify unsafe equipment operation and conditions while demonstrating knowledge of appropriate corrective action for unsafe conditions or equipment useExercise a leadership, coordination, and communication role with the location leadership to drive continuous EHS improvement across the locationComplete root cause analyses and develop corrective action plans to address root basic causes and management system weak-spots through the use of industry-recognized cause analysis techniquesRequirements:Effective communication and interpersonal skills including public speaking skills and presence in meetings and training environmentsDemonstrate excellent organizational skills use PC and related software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) handle multiple priorities and meet critical deadlinesAbility to make and deliver training presentations work collaboratively with colleagues to create a results driven.Team oriented environment maintain confidentiality make independent decisionsFunctional EHS knowledge in regulatory requirements, EHS technical aspects (safety, industrial hygiene, environmental regulatory management, risk management, behavior-based safety, training, regulatory agency enforcementDisplays strong problem solving, organizational and analytical skills.Strong project management skills including financial responsibility, budgeting, scheduling, vendor management, execution and start-up/commissioning, managing multiple concurrent projects/programs.Demonstrates professional maturity and ability to act as a change leader.Understands and can articulate environmental regulations.M W: 60% to 100% on siteCompensation and BenefitsThe expected compensation range for this position is between $93,500 - $156,450.Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
