The Production Manager oversees and manages all aspects of the production process to ensure products are manufactured efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role bridges strategic plant-level goals with day-to-day production execution. It includes planning, coordinating, and supervising production activities, managing team performance, ensuring safety, and collaborating with other departments to optimize plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and implement daily and long-term production schedules aligned with business goals.
  • Allocate resources (materials, equipment, personnel) to meet production targets and timelines.
  • Lead, motivate, and supervise Production Supervisors and production floor employees.
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and training to ensure optimal productivity and compliance with procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections and monitor processes to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Track production performance and generate reports to analyze trends and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with departments such as maintenance, quality, and shipping to support efficient plant operations.
  • Monitor production costs, identify inefficiencies, and implement cost-reduction strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all OSHA and internal safety policies and enforce safe work practices.

Qualifications

Position requires 3 years related supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting. Demonstrated leadership success and problem-solving capability are required. The successful candidate will be results oriented, a strong communicator, and have a passion for safety and quality. To be successful, must consistently present oneself as positive and professional and maintain productive work relationships with team members at all levels.
