EEG Technician (EEG Tech) – Neurodiagnostics | Day Shift

Location: Anchorage, Alaska 99508
Schedule: Day Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (07:00 AM – 07:00 PM)
Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Overview

A leading healthcare facility in Alaska is seeking an experienced EEG Technician to join its Neurodiagnostics team on a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will perform EEG and related neurodiagnostic procedures while providing exceptional patient care in both hospital and outpatient settings. This position offers a consistent day-shift schedule with shared on-call responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform EEG, ambulatory EEG, and related neurodiagnostic procedures in acute care and outpatient settings
  • Prepare and educate patients prior to testing to ensure comfort and cooperation
  • Monitor and record brain activity, recognizing normal and abnormal waveforms
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate EEG equipment according to safety standards
  • Accurately document procedures and patient information in the electronic medical record system
  • Respond appropriately to patient needs and emergencies during procedures
  • Participate in shared on-call rotation, including occasional weekend coverage
  • Collaborate with neurologists, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support quality patient care

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Neurodiagnostic or EEG training preferred
  • Current BLS certification required
  • REEGT certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of EEG or neurodiagnostic experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of neurophysiology, EEG instrumentation, and waveform interpretation
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative healthcare environment
  • Flexibility to work scheduled shifts and participate in on-call rotation
