Department Summary
The Department of Continuing Education and Assessment partners with subject matter experts and course directors to design, deliver, and evaluate accredited continuing education (CE) that enhances competence, performance, and interprofessional collaboration across the healthcare team. Programs are informed by practice gaps, aligned with accreditation standards, and delivered through formats such as live and virtual courses, conferences, workshops, regularly scheduled series (RSS), and online modules. The CE team uses data-driven methods to assess learning outcomes, track performance improvement, and demonstrate the real-world impact of CE on clinical practice, patient care, and community health.
Position Overview
The Educational Program Manager will play a pivotal role in the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of continuing education (CE) and professional development programs for healthcare professionals, including physicians, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses and other members of the interprofessional healthcare team. This position will collaborate across HSC departments and colleges to enhance the educational experiences for future providers and clinical professionals and develop/contribute to the creation and implementation of outcome-based continuing education programs to support a wide variety of learners inclusive of the HSC and the community at large. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in educational program design, evaluation/data analysis, program management and healthcare education linking learning objectives to desired changes in learner behavior.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four (4) years related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
