This full-time position offers an annual salary of $52,510.57 and is located in Asheville, NC, within the Community and Regional Entertainment Facilities department, Aston Park Tennis Center division.
We are seeking an Education Naturalist responsible for guest education, customer service, summer camps, and special events at a nature center.
The role involves ensuring safety during programs and emergencies, developing and delivering environmental and animal-related educational activities, and managing summer camp operations, including safety protocols and parent communication.
Additional duties include supervising volunteers and interns, coordinating special events, maintaining animal habitats and equipment, operating various tools and vehicles, and handling administrative tasks such as record-keeping and inventory management.
Qualifications include an associate degree in Environmental or Animal Science (or related field), at least one year of relevant experience, and a valid NC driver’s license. Strong communication, safety, and organizational skills are essential.
