Position Summary:

Are you passionate about developing educators, strengthening early learning programs, and creating lasting opportunities for children and families? Do you enjoy coaching others, using data to drive continuous improvement, and leading teams toward a shared vision of high-quality early childhood education?

Join our team as an Education Manager and help provide leadership and strategic direction for our early learning programs. This position oversees several sites, working with Center Directors, Supervising Teachers, other classroom staff as well as agency leaders to ensure high-quality educational services to the children enrolled in our Head Start and ECEAP Programs. In this role, you will coach and develop education leaders, monitorprogram quality, and ensure compliance with federal and state requirements. This position is ideal for a leader who is passionate about early childhood education, enjoys mentoring others, and thrives in a collaborative, fast paced environment

Compensation & Schedule

This role is scheduled for 40 hours per week andoperates year-round. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm, with some availability needed in the evenings dependent on staff/site needs. You will be located at our Administrative Office with regular travel required to the EOCF centers you supervise throughout Clark County.

This benefitted position has an hourly wage of $34.13.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a bachelor's degree with equivalent coursework in Early Childhood Education and early education teaching experience, as required by Head Start Performance Standards.

3 years of mid-level management in early childhood education or a related field

Strong knowledge of Head Start, Early Head Start, ECEAP, Washington Administrative Code (WAC), and early learning regulations

Preferred Experience

Experience leading and supervising staff within an early childhood education setting.

Experience supporting curriculum implementation and ensuring curriculum is implemented consistently across sites.

Experience with early childhood assessment and curriculum systems such as ASQ-3, Creative Curriculum, Pyramid Model, PBIS, SmartTeach, CLASS, ECERS, ChildPlus or similar platforms.

Experience participating in program monitoring, self-assessments, or licensing reviews.

Experience analyzing child outcomes, classroom quality, attendance and other program data to guide decision-making and continuous quality improvement.

Bilingual highly desired

Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership, supervision, coaching, performance management, and professional development to Center Directors, Supervising Teachers, and assigned staff to strengthen instructional practices, foster accountability, develop leadership capacity, and support continuous quality improvement.

Support classrooms and sites in delivering high-quality educational experiences and comprehensive services for children and families including providing leadership in curriculum implementation, child assessment, lesson planning and best practices to ensure consistent, high-quality learning experiences across assigned sites. 

Partner with agency leadership and Human Resources to interview, onboard, and develop education staff.

Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and agency policies.

Conduct regular site visits to monitor program quality, and ensure compliance with Head Start, Early Head Start, ECEAP, Washington State licensing requirements, and agency standards.

Collaborate with various agency departments to ensure comprehensive, coordinated services for children and families. 

Lead implementation of agency initiatives, new educational practices and program improvements while supporting staff through organizational change.

Coach and develop education leaders through professional development, reflective practice and ongoing support while fostering a positive and supportive team culture.

Interpret and communicate data to identify trends, develop action plans and drive continuous quality improvement. 

Prioritize multiple responsibilities and adapt to changing program needs and deadlines. 

Effectively communicate expectations, provide constructive feedback, document concerns and actions taken, and resolve conflicts professionally.

Work independently while contributing as a collaborative member of the leadership team.
