Upcoming Vacancy:
1 - position for 8 hours per day, 245 work days per year.
This eligibility list will be valid for one year and will be used to fill any future vacancies during the time this list is active.
Purpose of Position
Performs specialized data management and reporting duties to support Educational Services assessment programs. Coordinates state and local student assessment administration processes, including data collection, validation, and reporting. Extracts, compiles, and formats data from student information and assessment systems to produce reports, dashboards, and presentations supporting instructional planning, accountability, and decision-making. Serves as a subject matter expert in Educational Services assessment data systems and ensures information is accessible, accurate, and useful for schools and District leadership.

Prepares and distributes assessment reports, dashboards, charts, and communication materials to support instructional programs, accountability, decision-making, and timelines.
Extracts, compiles, and coordinates student assessment and program data from District systems, including support for district-wide assessment administration and logistics.
Performs advanced assessment data analysis and reporting using technological tools to extract, organize, and present information that supports decision-making, compliance, and program evaluation.
Reviews assessment data for accuracy, participation, and compliance; resolves discrepancies and collaborates with Technology Services and site staff to ensure system readiness for reporting.
Analyzes and summarizes information on student achievement, demographics, enrollment, and program participation.
Develops and provides training and technical guidance to site and District staff on assessment data systems, reporting tools, and administration procedures, including accommodations and accessibility supports.
Creates assessment procedures and user resources to ensure consistent and accurate data entry and reporting, and to support staff use of assessment systems.
Assists site and District staff with user account access, permissions, and support for assessment data systems.
Serves as liaison with external agencies and vendors regarding assessment platforms and reporting requirements.
Coordinates state-mandated assessment reporting submissions, ensuring timely certification and compliance with applicable regulations.
Supports the preparation of state and federal assessment reports by verifying accuracy and formatting data for submission.
Assists with assessment audits and reviews by compiling and presenting requested data.
Maintains assessment records and data files in accordance with District policies and regulations.
Coordinates the distribution of assessment notifications and results to families and supports communication of assessment-related information to stakeholders.
Supports the administration of District assessment programs, including coordination of assigned testing initiatives and collaboration with site and department staff.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Knowledge of:
State and federal student data reporting requirements, including CALPADS.
Student information and educational assessment systems.
Database concepts and data validation methods.
Data visualization and reporting practices.
Technological tools to support data analysis, data manipulation, and reporting.
Principles and practices of data security and confidentiality.
Skills in:
Extracting and compiling data from multiple systems.
Using spreadsheets, databases, and reporting tools.
Preparing reports and presentations for varied audiences.
Identifying and correcting data discrepancies.
Developing user documentation for data systems.
Training staff in data entry, reporting, and system use.

Employment Standards
Education and Experience
An Associate's degree in information systems, statistics, business administration, or a related field, and three (3) years of experience involving the collection, processing, and reporting of complex data. Experience with student or program data in an educational setting is highly desirable.
Additional qualifying experience beyond the minimum required may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Licenses and Other Requirements
A valid California Driver's License. Evidence of insurability may be required based on assignment.
Supplemental Information
This is a Dual Certification Recruitment: Candidates who attain a passing score on each examination part will be placed in rank order on an eligibility list after promotional credits are added to the composite test scores of promotional candidates. These examinations are open to permanent employees and the public.
